Mammogram Preparation

All patients are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time to complete the required paperwork.

All patients must bring  -

• The request form from their doctor
• Medicare or DVA card, and any government issued pension or health care cards
• All previous x-rays or scans of the area being examined

• Appointments are required.
• Usually done in conjunction with a breast ultrasound
• If you have had breast surgery or implants please inform reception staff when making your appointment.
• No perfumes, talcum powder, or deodorant to be worn on the breast or underarm area.
• If possible wear clothing that is easy to remove from the waist up eg skirt and top
• If you have had previous mammograms it is extremely important to bring those images along for your appointment to allow comparison between examinations.
